2. Service Description

TasteCompas is a platform that allows users to discover restaurants, cafes, and other dining establishments, view menus, write reviews, and create favorite lists.

3. Membership and Account Security

By using our Platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration
  • Keep your account information confidential and not share it with others
  • Be responsible for all activities on your account
  • Notify us immediately if you detect unauthorized access
  • Be over 18 years old or have parental consent

4. User Content

For content you upload to the Platform (reviews, photos, ratings):

  • You own the content or have the right to share it
  • The content complies with applicable laws
  • The content does not contain insults, profanity, hate speech, or misleading information
  • You grant TasteCompas the right to use, display, and distribute the content

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Creating fake accounts or accounts on behalf of others
  • Writing fake or misleading reviews
  • Sharing spam, advertisements, or unwanted content
  • Actions that compromise platform security
  • Harassing or disturbing other users
  • Using the platform for commercial purposes without permission
  • Using automated bots or scrapers

6. Business Information

Business information on the Platform (address, phone, hours, menu, prices) is for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this information. We recommend contacting the business directly for current information.

7. Intellectual Property

The TasteCompas name, logo, design, and all original content are protected by intellectual property rights. They may not be copied, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

TasteCompas:

  • Does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform
  • Is not responsible for user content
  • Is not a party to disputes with businesses
  • Cannot be held liable for indirect damages

9. Account Suspension and Termination

Accounts that violate terms of use may be suspended or permanently closed without prior notice. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to change these terms of use without prior notice. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the current terms.

11. Applicable Law

These terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction over disputes.
